Out of the Ordinary was founded in response to the need by event planners and group organizers for unusual and adventurous activities in the Southern California area. Initially a handful of adventure tours were offered, expanding quickly and consistently to a wide array of unique services and activities.

Carrie Ellwood has an extensive background in sales and marketing, with years of business travel and first-hand experience in meetings. A career change led to a position as director of sales for an off-road touring company specializing in corporate travel and team-building. A growing knowledge of the hospitality industry and the public's desire for "the unusual" led to the formation of Out of the Ordinary.

We are committed to offering a wide array of unique activities and venues for enjoying Southern California, along with EXCEPTIONAL service and follow-through.
