About Out of the Ordinary
Out of the Ordinary was founded in response to the need by event planners and group organizers for unusual and adventurous activities in the Southern California area. Initially a handful of adventure tours were offered, expanding quickly and consistently to a wide array of unique services and activities.

Carrie Ellwood has an extensive background in sales and marketing, with years of business travel and first-hand experience in meetings. A career change led to a position as director of sales for an off-road touring company specializing in corporate travel and team-building. A growing knowledge of the hospitality industry and the public's desire for "the unusual" led to the formation of Out of the Ordinary. Fifteen years later and with multiple awards under our belt, we continue to expand and constantly look for new and exciting activities.

We are committed to offering a wide array of unique activities and venues for enjoying Southern California, along with EXCEPTIONAL service and follow-through.Our staff, tour operators, and tour guides are enthusiastic, knowlegeable, and LOVE what they do!
