"The Big Give" Scavenger Challenge
Lots of fun, friendly competition, and an element of philanthropy are what make this afternoon one to remember! Teams will gather for a quick briefing, an energizing activity and to collect their materials and it's off on a closely timed race for the championship. The activity could be held at Seaport Village, Balboa Park, or the Gaslamp District.
Each team will receive a variety of supplies, trivia questions, challenges and maps. They must work together with limited time and manpower to answer as many questions as possible and report to the finish before the deadline.
There will also be a series of team challenge activities which the teams will need to locate in order to receive points. All challenges involve one or more team skills. And just to spice it up a bit, teams will each have a two-way radio and the judges may contact them with super missions, additional challenges or public acts of outrageousness.
But most important, each team will be entrusted with an envelope of cash. Their special assignment will be to use that cash to make life better for someone else - an individual, a group or an public facility. At the finish, teams must describe and document where their funds went, how the choice was made and how it was executed.
- At the finish line, all teams will be scored and a team cheer will be performed in the case of a tie. An awards ceremony will complete the afternoon, with a dazzling trophy for the winning team.

Teamwork, creativity, and FUN are emphasized over winning.
