Team Sailing Regatta

Let your crew do the sailing! In this unique 3 hour authentic regatta your group will safely learn to sail first hand from a Coast Guard licensed captain. Group will gather first for basic instructions on sailing terms and navigation.

The group will then be divided into teams of 4 to 6, each with a beautiful 22’ to 34’ Capri sailboat. Each boat is then given a questionnaire that they will use to determine the sail course around the San Diego Bay. The questions deal with interesting facts about the San Diego area and about the individual organization. They can also have a polaroid camera to capture extra bonus points and memories to take home if desired.

During the event, the committee boat will circulate and approach each boat, helping to keep the enthusiasm and team spirit up. VIPs can also be accommodated on the committee boat.

The emphasis is on team spirit and working together to navigate the course and cross the finish line first. A bottle of champagne or trophy will await the winning team, which they can elect to share or not.

All boats have ice chests and refreshments can be provided. A beach picnic, barbecue, or waterfront restaurant meal is a nice ending to this outdoor team activity and keeps that team spirit going.
